Box Score Hamline's men's basketball team broke from the gate well but a hotshooting Concordia team came back to record a 74-59 victory Saturday in Moorhead.
Dior Ford scored 20 points and
Austin Johnson added 11 as Hamline fell to 6-10 overall, 3-8 in the MIAC.
The Pipers grabbed an early five-point lead at 11-6 and later led 15-11 only to see the Cobbers overtake them for a 36-28 halftime lead. HU shot back quickly, geting the first five points of the second half to move within 36-33. The Cobbers came back to hit some long distance shots and assumed a 15-point edge at 54-39. They held the Pipers off the rest of the way.
Ford moved past his head coach Jim Hayes into ninth place all-time in HU history with 1255 points.
HU now heads home fo face St. Mary's Wednesday night at Hutton (7:00 p.m.). Gustavus Adolphus visits next Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. game.
