Youth shall be served. Three underclassmen led the way for Hamline's cross country team at the St. Catherine Invitational Saturday morning. Meg Griffin, a sophomore, finished in 16th place to lead Hamline's entry. Griffin ran the 4K course in 15:58.5. Brenna Kennedy was 20th (16:01.9) with Alyssa Nash (pictured), also a sophomore, the next HU finisher at 42nd (16:37.1). Autumn Jensen placed 48th (16:43) and Holly Hankins (a third sophomore) topping out the HU five with a 50th place finish (16:45.6). 

Hamline totaled 138 points to place sixth place.

The Pipers return to the course next Saturday at the UW-La Crosse Invitational. That will be their last warmup before the MIAC CC meet October 31.
