Box Score Hamline's women's soccer team generated a lot of shots in the second half but couldn't find the back of the net in a 1-0 loss to Carleton Tuesday at Paterson Field. 

HU dropped to 4-8-1 overall (1-5-1 in the MIAC) despite unloading six shots at the Knight net in the second 45 minutes of play. Annika Martensson's shot eluded HU goalie Amy Ramras midway in the first half for the only tally of the afternoon. 

Arendje Louter, who led the Pipers in shots for the game, had a great chance late in the second half but her shots just went over the crossbar. Jade Battles also had a good opportunity but Knight netminder Elaine Sundberg made the save. It was the first time this year HU had been blanked in a MIAC game.

HU returns to action Friday night when they play at Augsburg. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The Pipers have a non-conference date Sunday at Waldorf College.
