Box Score When they really needed them, Hamline's leaders came through in a very important way. Abbai Habte and Jake Niemann scored 16 minutes apart in the second half to give Hamline's men's soccer team a key 2-0 win at Augsburg Saturday night. Dean Isaacson recorded two saves for his third career shutout as the Pipers jumped into a tie for fourth place in the MIAC with a 4-2-1 league mark. Hamline improved to 6-6-1 overall. 

Habte broke the scoreless tie when he took a feed from James Reardon and fired his eighth goal of the year home at 65:15. The St. Paul, Minn. senior ranks second in the league in that department. He is also second in points with 19. Niemann then made it 2-0 at 81:31 when he directed a rebound home at 81:31 for his second marker of the year 

Hamline held a 15-10 edge in total shots, led by Habte who had four. 

The Pipers have won four of their last five games and stand 6-6-2 overall. They are off until Oct. 24 when they play at second place St. John's.
