Saturday's football game with Gustavus Adolphus is expected to be a festive occasion in more ways than one. The annual night game at Klas Field has been designated Hamline's "Tackle Cancer" game. Members of the HU dance line will be going through the stands at Klas between quarters seeking contributions from fans for the Tackle Cancer Foundation. Founded by KARE-TV news anchor Randy Shaver, the Foundation raises money to help fight cancer in Minnesota. Last year, over $228,000 was raised at high school and college football games around the state. Hamline is proud to join this fight.
The forecast is excellent for the game (64 degrees, 0% chance of rain) which matches a pair of unbeaten teams. Kickoff between the Gusties and Pipers is slated for 7:00 p.m.
