Box Score Hamline's women's soccer team scored a season high for goals but St. Catherine held them off when needed for a 4-2 decision Saturday in St. Paul. Three goals in a 10-minute span midway in the first half put the Pipers in a hole. Aubrey Stenson (pictured) started to digs the Pipers out of it when she worked her way past a defender and netted her first of the season at 33:00.

HU carried the play for most of the next 40 minutes. The pressure eventually led to a  free kick 25 minutes into the second half. Keanna Mienert tapped the ball to Arendje Louter, who unleashed a bullet for her second goal of the year. Unfortunately, the Wildcats struck back three minutes later to end the scoring for the day.

Hamline held an overall edge in shots, 19-14 but fell to 1-5 overall (0-2 MIAC) for the 2015 season. Amy Ramras played the first half in goal with Anna Briscoe handling the last 45 minutes.

The Pipers return to action Tuesday with a non-conference game at Northwestern in Roseville. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
