Box Score On the coldest day of the year in the Twin Cities, it was the misfortune for the HU men's basketball team to run into the hottest shooting team around. Bethel connected on 66.7 per cent of its shot en route to a 104-66 victory over the Pipers Saturday in Arden Hills.Â

Connor Knutson continuing his torrid pace with 17 points and Zach Smith adding 15. Knutson, a freshman, also was the top Piper rebounder with four while Smith led the way with five assists. Jay Betts came off the bench to tie for the game lead in steals with two. Smith leads the team in scoring at 11.5 ppg and Knutson is now second at 10.8
Bethel grabbed a 51-35 lead at halftime and then connected on 20 of 26 second half shots to pull away.Â
The Pipers dropped to 3-11 overall and 1-8 in the MIAC. They return home to host St. Mary's (4-9, 2-7) Wednesday at Hutton Arena. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
