10/11/2016 5:53:00 PM

Box Score The Hamline women's soccer team are becoming quite the road warriors. Arendje Louter's goal 27:24 into the game was all the offense the Pipers would need for a crucial 1-0 win at Carleton Tuesday afternoon. GK Amy Ramras had a pair of saves to add to her school record for wins (19) and shutouts (16).

But the most important stat is this: Hamline is now 8-4-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the MIAC. The latter line lifts the Pipers to 10 points and places them in the middle of a tight race for playoff spots. Hamline is tied with St. Benedict for fifth place

HU has won three games in a row and is an impressive 5-2-1 away from Paterson Field.

Louter, a sophomore, started the season fast with four goals in the first five games of the season. She snapped her seven-game scoreless string when she took a chip from Malya Hirshkowitz and directed the ball into the net. Louter is now just one goal behind her team leading 2015 total of six.

The play was even from there with the Pipers finishing with a 8-7 overall edge in shots taken and a 4-2 margin in shots on goal.

The Pipers now return to Paterson to face Augsburg (9-2-0, 4-1-0 MIAC) Saturday, October 15. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
