Box Score Maybe it was a case of too much time away form the court. Hamline's volleyball team couldn't shake off the rust of not playing a match for a week and dropped a 3-0 decision to St. Mary's in Winona Wednesday night. 

Cass Bittle, a Winona native, was the top attacker with seven kills. Jena Meyer added five. Amelia Jensen had 13 digs and a service ace, Julia Zolnosky contributed eight digs and Morgen Coleman added 14 assists. But the Cardinals grabbed control early and recorded 25-16, 25-13, 25-11 decisions to even Hamline's MIAC record at 1-1. HU stands 6-4 overall. 

The Pipers return to their home lair for their next two matches. The first of these is Saturday, September 24, against Concordia at Hutton Arena. The match begins at 3:00 p.m.
