Box Score Hamline's high powered men's soccer offense ran into a wet wall of stiff defense and dropped a 2-0 decision at Macalester Friday. The starting time of the game was delayed a half-hour due to the length of the women's game. The Pipers couldn't get untracked, recording two shots. They came in the first half, courtesy of Ben Pietsch and James Reardon. But neither team could manage a goal until Macalester did so in the 67th minute. The Scots, undefeated in eight games and ranked no. 7 in Division III, added another in the waning minutes. Dean Isaacson recorded one save for HU, which now stands 7-2  overall and 1-1 in MIAC play. 

Hamline returns to Peterson Field on Tuesday, September 27 against St. Olaf. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
