Box Score Julia Zolnosky slammed out 11 kills but Concordia was able to hold off Hamline rallies to defeat the Pipers, 3-0, at Hutton Arena Saturday. Cass Bittle added seven kills for HU, now 6-5 overall (1-2 in the MIAC). Morgan Coleman has another double-double with 25 assists and 10 digs. Amelia Jensen led a 57-dig effort with 16. She also added a pair of service aces. 

HU got off to a good start, grabbing a 6-3 lead in the first set. The Cobbers responded with an 8-2 run for a 11-8 edge. HU could get no closer than two the rest of the way. In the middle set, Hamline again broke from the game fast, grabbing an 8-4 lead. CC came back to grab seven of the next eight points. Hamline rallied to tie matters at 14 but CC scored six straight points and kept the Pipers at bay the rest of the way. CC took the lead in the third set only to see the Pipers claw back to get within two at 20-18. 

Hamline remains home to face St. Thomas at Hutton Arena on Wednesday, September 28. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
