Box Score HU goalie
Amy Ramras had seven saves -- one short of her season high -- but St. Olaf found enough offense to defeat Hamline's women's soccer team, 2-0, at Paterson Field Wednesday afternoon. The Pipers are now 5-3-1 on the season (1-2-1 in the MIAC).
Hamline started strong, outshooting the Oles, 7-1, in the first half.
Kaley Roberts, the team's leading scorer, had four shots herself but HU could not connect. The Oles (6-2-0, 3-1-0 MIAC) picked up the pace in the second half, breaking the ice with a goal in the 67th minute during a scramble in front of Ramras. The Pipers pressed hard in the final 10 minutes but STO broke free for a goal in the final minute to seal the decision.
HU was outshot 14-10 for the game. In addition to Roberts,
Mallory Wirth had two shots for HU.
Hamline plays at St. Thomas Saturday. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
