Coleman Shines for VB at Wartburg

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Morgen Coleman had a busy, productive Saturday. The sophomore was busy at both sides of the court for the Pipers in a pair of matches against Wis-La Crosse and host team Wartburg. The North Branch, Minn. native had 17 kills, 15 assists, 14 digs and two service aces for Hamline which lost both matches by 3-0 scores. 

Coleman was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts.

Megan Anderson had 34 digs on the day -- 22 of which came against UWL. In that match, Marissa Franco had 11 digs and Sammie Coffle contributed 10. Megan Rubbelke dished out nine assists with Coleman contributing eight. After dropping the opener 25-8, HU made it a lot tougher on UWL, falling by tight 25-22 and 25-18 scores. 

Against Wartburg, Coleman was the top attacker with six kills. Rubbelke had 10 assists and Anderson came up with 10 digs. The Knights, who are 15-5 on the season, won by 25-13, 25-13, 25-19 counts. 

Hamline, 3-19 overall, returns to MIAC play Wednesday at Carleton. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
