11/1/2017 12:43:00 PM

A pair of multi-sport athletes, a men's basketball star and one of the most decorated runners in Hamline history are the latest members to be named to the Hamline University Athletic Hall of Fame.

Four individuals will be honored Saturday, November 4 at two ceremonies. The inductees will be recognized at halftime of the Hamline-St. John's football game at Klas Field as well at a dinner that night at CHS Field in St. Paul

Emily Deuth Ackman '03 wrote her name all over the HU softball record book. In 2002, she set two school records that still stand: Most Hits (75) and Highest Batting Average (.536). She became the first player in school history to be named to the NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association)  D-III Midwest Region team and was also named a NFCA All-American in 2002. In addition to her softball exploits, Emily lettered one season in soccer.

Chris Dueffert '98 was a three-year All-MIAC pick on the basketball court who also earned Honorable Mention All-American honors one season. He was also captain of the Pipers for three seasons. Chris still holds the school record for Three-Pointers in a career (177) and Free Throws Made (428). His 17.4 points per game average is second all-time. He is also in the Top Ten All-Time in Field Goals Made (531, fifth) Points (1667, sixth), Assists (227, seventh) and Steals (107, seventh).

Rachael Young Hartfiel '06 was very busy during her four years at Hamline. In four years on the softball diamond, Rachael earned recognition twice on the All-MIAC and Academic All-MIAC teams, finishing with 183 career hits (tied for third most in school history). On the ice, she was a four year goalie, setting school records for Most Career Saves (2,791), Most Saves in a Season (1,008 in 2002-03) and Most Saves in a Game (69, vs. St. Catherine in 2002.)

Keidra Anderson Stuart '06 was on the run a lot during her time at Hamline, winning four letters in Cross Country and Track/Field. In 2005, she finished 10th at the NCAA D-III Cross Country meet, earning All-American honors. On the track, she earned All-American status five times in distance races. Her 17:12.69 clocking in the 5,000 Meters outdoors in 2005 is still the school standard. She also owns the 5,000 Meters indoors school mark with a 17:26.39 timing in 2006. Keidra won seven conference championship races in her career (3K and 5K indoors in 2005 and 2006) as well as the 5K outdoor races in those same years. In 2006, she also won the 10K race.
