Box Score For the second straight day, the Hamline women's soccer team stretched a game into a second overtime period on their West Coast trip. This time, however, it ended on an unhappy note. George Fox scored a goal with 2:38 remaining in the game for a 2-1 decision. On Friday, Hamline went the 110 minutes distance in a 1-1 2 OT draw at Lewis & Clark College.
Kaley Roberts, who tied for the team lead in goals a year ago with nine, scored a second half marker for HU, which heads home with an 0-1-1 record. Roberts led a 14-shot attack with four -- all of which were on goal.
Siri Parker and
Jordan Roderick-Fried had two apiece.
The Bruins took the lead on a first half goal. Roberts evened matters when she snaked the ball free from a Bruin and sailed in for an unassisted tally at 61:01. It stayed that way until the Bruins scored the gamewinner in the waning moments.
Kat Armstrong had five saves in the first half in goal.
Dani Wright played the rest of the way and also recorded five saves.
Hamline plays at Wis-River Falls on Wednesday, September 6. Game time is 5:00 p.m.
