9/23/2017 6:34:00 PM

Box Score The Hamline men's soccer team is as hot as the weather. The Pipers made visiting Concordia sweat from the start, scoring a goal in each half for a 2-0 victory Saturday at Paterson Field. It was Hamline's third win in a row and improved their overall mark to 6-3-0. HU is part of a four way tie for second place with a  2-1-0 mark in MIAC action.

Stefan Kinsinger opened the scoring, taking a pass from Ben Sorenson and burying a shot 19:39 into the game. That goal looked like it would be the only offense of the game until Trevor Lewellen broke loose and scored at 79:16 to put the game away.

HU goalie Dean Isaacson stopped all four shots sent his way for the shutout -- his fourth of the season --  that lowered his goals-against average to 0.88. The St. Paul, Minn. junior ranks fourth in the MIAC in that department and second in saves with 32 and save percentage at .821.

The Pipers now head on the road to St. Thomas on Tuesday, September 26 at 4:00 p.m. HU returns home to face St. Olaf at Paterson Field on Saturday, September 30 at 1:00 p.m. (7-1, 3-0 MIAC)
