Box Score With four games in a span of a week, the Hamline women's soccer team will be spending a lot of time at Paterson Field. Judging by the results of Saturday's 1-0 win over Concordia, the Pipers intend to make it difficult for visitors to make a lot of leeway.

Kaley Roberts put the Cobbers on their heels early with her fifth goal of the season at 12:10. The sophomore took a pass from Arendje Louter and buried a shot to match her 2016 totals for goals and grab the individual team lead in that department. The Cobbers had plenty of spirit the rest of the half, testing HU goalie Kat Armstrong repeatedly with six shots. The freshman, however, stood her ground. In the second half, the HU defense stiffened, keeping the Cobbers shotless. Hamline volleyed six of their own drives and rode the waves for their second 1-0 win of the week.

Louter topped Hamline's 12 shot output while Roberts and Brittany Beckman had two each.  As a result, Hamline is now 5-2-1 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC. The latter number is part of a three-way tie for second, one point behind Augsburg, who is 3-0-1.

The Pipers welcome Wisconsin-Stout (2-4-1) to Paterson Field on Tuesday, September 26 at 4:00 p.m. Martin Luther is the visitor the next afternoon at the same time. It's a return to MIAC action on Saturday, September 30 when St. Olaf is the guest for a 3:30 p.m. match.
