Box Score For the second time this season, a penalty kick turned out to be trouble for the Hamline men's soccer team. St. Thomas converted on such a kick with 27:35 to play and held on for a 2-1 win over the Pipers Tuesday. Hamline goalie Dean Isaacson had six saves -- five in the second half -- but the Pipers saw their three game winning streak end as the overall season mark fell to 6-4-0. HU is 2-2-0 in MIAC play and is currently part of a three-way tie for third place with six points. 

James Reardon got the game off to a good start with his first goal of the season. The midfielder accepted a pass from Adam King and buried a low shot at 25:21 to open the scoring. The Tommies, ranked No. 9 in the country, tied the game nine minutes later. it stayed that way until the penalty kick tally. The Pipers had five shots for the game with Reardon, a junior from Waukesha, Wis.,  the only multiple attacker with two. 

Hamline hosts St. Olaf Saturday at Paterson Field. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
