Box Score It didn't take long for the Hamline women's soccer team to get going Wednesday.

Arendje Louter scored the fastest goal from the start of a game in Hamline history -- 22 seconds, to be precise -- and the Pipers took off from there for a 7-0 win over Martin Luther Wednesday at Paterson Field. It was the junior's 21st career goal, moving her into third place by herself on the school's all-time goal list.  Kaley Roberts scored twice with Brittany Beckman, Ashlee Olson, Jenna Sampson and Madison Putnam (10) also netting singles as the Pipers improved to 6-3-1 overall.

Melanie Hopkins had a successful college debut in goal, earning a shutout.

Louter got the ball rolling, taking a pass from Anna Futterer for the early marker. Beckman was the recipient of a Futterer pass and scored at 3:05 to push the Knights into a deeper hole. Before the half ended, Sampson had curled a corner kick home and Roberts added a pair to take over the team lead with seven  goals.

In the second half, Ashlee Olson broke free for her third goal of the season. Putnam then took a Sampson pass and drilled a shot under the crossbar to wrap up the Pipers' second seven goal outburst of the season.

Hamline, which is 3-1 in MIAC play, returns to conference action Saturday against St. Olaf at Paterson. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
