Scheuring Has Big Day on Boards For Men's BB

Box Score Ethan Scheuring moved into a starting role five games ago. Saturday, he showed one of the reasons why. The junior had a team high six rebounds for the men's basketball team in a 77-52 loss at St. Thomas Saturday. Isaac Brooks was the top scorer for HU, now 9-10 overall (5-9 MIAC) with 10 points. The junior also had four rebounds. 

Dylan See-Rockers added seven points and the trio of Jake Larson, Kalu Abosi and Michael Dillon contributed six each.

The Tommies broke away from a 4-all tie with seven unanswered points in a two and a half minute span. The margin was 39-21 at halftime. The Pipers shot 35 percent from the field for the game. In addition to Scheuring, Abosi had five rebounds. 

HU has a pair of festive home games next week. Augsburg visits on Wednesday, January 31 at 7 p.m. It is Military Appreciation Night. Gustavus Adolphus visits Hutton on Saturday, February 3 for a 1 p.m. encounter. There will be special ceremony honoring Al Frost '67, who ranks fourth all-time in career points with 1704. He also has the top points per game average in school history at 19.8. The team's seniors will also be honored that day.
