Box Score It was a case of quality besting quantity. Wisconsin-Stevens Point outshot Hamline's women's hockey team, 39-33, but the Pipers made their shots count and took a 5-2 victory at TRIA rink Saturday afternoon.
Mckenna Hulslander stood tall in goal with 37 saves. On the offensive end,
Leah Schwartzman (44) had three assists as five different Pipers scored to help continue the best start in school history. HU is now 9-2-1 overall and is undefeated in all six home games played this season. HU is on a six-game unbeaten streak (5-0-1).

Sadie Baker for the Pipers rolling early with goals in the first 14:54 of play. Simon's goal, a nifty backhander, was her 12th of the season, which ties her for the lead in the MIAC.
In the middle period,
Dani Perry connected and
Madison Gaffney wrapped things up with a power play in the third period.
The HU penalty killers also earned kudos for killing off four consecutive penalties in the second period.
Hamline returns to action Tuesday against St. Scholastica at TRIA. The teams played a 2-2 OT tie last month in Duluth. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
