AHCA RELEASE

SAINT PAUL, Minn. --- Seven members of the Hamline University women's hockey program have been recognized as American Hockey Coaches Associastion (AHCA)/Krampade All-American Scholars, honoring student-athletes who have excelled both on ice and in the classroom this year. 

To earn AHCA/Krampade All-American Scholar honors, student-athletes must post a 3.75 GPA during each semester of the academic year while appearing in 40 percent of their teams games. Exceptions are granted to injured players and backup goaltenders. 

Senior Annika Lindgren (Hermantown, Minn.) earns her third straight All-American Scholar recognition to cap off her outstanding final season as a Piper. Fellow senior teammate Iyla Ryskamp (Orono, Minn.) earned her second straight honor, along with junior Annabel Mehta (Eden Prairie, Minn.) and sophomores Ashlyn Abrahamson (Devils Lake, N.D.) and Harper Powell (Two Harbors, Minn.). Joining their teammates as first-time All-American Scholar recipients are first years Maddy Belisle (Hugo, Minn.) and Emma Ramstorf (Alexandria, Minn.). 

These seven Pipers helped their team to a runner-up finish in conference play with a 14-3-1 record, earning the No. 2 seed in the MIAC Playoffs, receiving an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament and making it to the NCAA Quarterfinals, finishing their season with a 21-6-1 overall record.
