In a defensive minded game from the get-go, Hamline's men's soccer team fell 1-0 to St. Mary's in Winona Saturday.
Jack Reddan continued to be an offensive presence. He had two of the six Piper shots taken at the Cardinal goal.
SMU only attempted five shots in their own right but one of them eluded goalie
Dean Isaacson early in the second half -- and that proved to be the difference in the game. Hamline is now 2-4-1 in the MIAC, 5-5-1 overall. HU plays at Carleton on Wednesday, October 17. It is the makeup of a game that was postponed due to weather conditions last month. The Pipers then return to Paterson Field for their home finale against St. John's on Saturday, October 20 at 3:30 p.m.
