The HU women's soccer team was able to slow down Bethel's high powered offense at rainy Paterson Field Tuesday. Unfortunately, the Royals were stingy on defense and dealt the Pipers a 2-0 loss.
Ellie Baxter led a 10-shot Piper attack with four, three of which landed on goal.
At the other end of the field,
Melanie Hopkins recorded six saves and allowed one goal in the first half to take the loss.
Lauren Sicora played the second half in the net and also allowed one goal while making two saves.
Hamline dropped to 4-8-1 overall, 1-6-0 in MIAC play. The Pipers head on the road this weekend for a pair of games. They have a league encounter at St. Mary's in Winona on Saturday, October 13. The next afternoon, HU will venture to Duluth for a non-conference tussle with St. Scholastica. Both games have 1:00 p.m. starts.
