A rough segment in the second period did in the Hamline men's hockey team Friday against Concordia in Moorhead. Four shorthanded goals in a 2 1/2 minute span in the middle of that frame blew the game open as the Cobbers claimed a 7-0 decision.
The Pipers outshot, CC, 33-29 but fell to 2-8 overall, 2-3 in the MIAC.
Mitch McPherson led the attack with six shots on goal.
Mitch Hall had five and
Brady Crabtree added four.
Sam Nelson allowed the first four goals and took the loss.
The Pipers will get a quick opportunity to put this game in the rear view mirror. The rematch is Saturday, December 8 in Moorhead at 2:00 p.m.
