Box Score The men's basketball team started strong but Bethel rallied on its home court for a 62-54 decision Wednesday,
Dylan See-Rockers led the offense with 13 points while
Zach Smith added 12 and
Isaac Brooks had 11. The Pipers stood tall on the boards with the Royals. Brooks grabbed nine rebounds and Smith had seven -- all on the defensive end.
TC Robinson came up with three steals with Smith having a like number of assists.
The Pipers shot 52.4 percent from the field in the first half en route to taking a 37-31 intermission edge. HU used eight free throws and a See-Rockers three-pointer to break away from a 26-all and take the six point lead at halftime.
HU held off several Bethel attempts at rallies and led, 51-50, with 6:16 left in the second half. A 6-1 run gave BU a four point lead at 56-52 with 2:27 left.
Nick Powell halved that with a layup. Those were the last points the Pipers would get.
HU is now 11-12 overall and 7-11 in MIAC games. They are off until Wednesday, February 14 when they play their Hutton Arena finale against Concordia. Game time is 5:45 p.m.
