It will be an early -- and busy -- morning for Kaelin O'Fallon (9) and the Hamline women's soccer team Saturday. The starting time for the Pipers game at Carleton has been moved up three hours to a 10:00 a.m. commencement. The MIAC implemented a new policy  regulating when teams can practice and play games in excessive heat this fall. The forecast for the originally scheduled 1:00 p.m. start for the game at Bell Field calls for temperatures in the high 80s with high humidity. 

The Pipers are 3-2-1 overall. Jackie Stubbs' goal in the second overtime lifted HU to a dramatic 2-1 win over Macalester in their conference opener Tuesday at Paterson Field. The Knights are off to a 3-0-1 start. Saturday will be their first MIAC game. Carleton is rated No. 24 nationally in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
