The Hamline women's soccer team found out that Carleton's national ranking is justified. The Pipers were held to four shots (two of which were on goal) in a 2-0 loss to the No. 24 ranked Knights in Northfield Saturday. HU is now 3-3-1 overall and 1-1 in MIAC play.
Game time was moved up three hours to 10:00 a.m. due to excessive heat and humidity. The Knights scored twice in the first 33:33 of play and that was too much for the Pipers to overcome.
Kaelin O'Fallon (9) and
Hannah Schatz had the HU shots on goal with
Ashlee Olson and
Jenna Sampson also contributing attempts. Goalie
Dani Wright had five saves. The junior leads the MIAC with 47 stops.
The Pipers get some time now to rest up and get healthier. They are off until Saturday, September 22 when they play at Concordia. Game time in Moorhead is 1:00 p.m.
