Stefan Kinsinger's goal with 5:09 to play in the second half lifted the HU men's soccer team a 2-1 victory over St. Olaf Saturday in Northfield. Kinsinger, a senior, headed one in off an Adam King free kick as the Pipers, rated No. 8 in the USC North Region poll, improved to 5-3 overall and evened their MIAC slate at 2-2. 

After a scoreless first half, the Oles broke the ice three minutes into the second stanza. Trevor Lewellen tied the game at 79:11 when  he bounced on a loose ball in the box and drove it home. That set the stage for Kinsinger's (16) winning effort at 84:51, his fourth tally of the season. King's assist was his fifth of the season, tying him for the MIAC lead in that department. The junior's 15 overall points leads the loop. Dean Isaacson was credited with two saves to earn the victory. 

The Pipers now return to Paterson to start a three-game homestand. First up: Wisconsin-Superior on Wednesday, October 3. The non-conference game starts at 4:00 p.m. Hamline returns to MIAC play against Augsburg on October 6 at 3:30 p.m.
