Late Goal Does In M Soccer

Macalester scored with 12:11 to play in the game to edge out the Hamline men's soccer team, 1-0 Wednesday at Paterson Field. HU goalie Malachy Zamacona had seven saves -- six in a busy first half -- for the Pipers, who fell to 3-7-1 overall, 1-4-0 in MIAC games.

The Pipers had five shots -- three of which were on goal. Adam King led with two attempts with Ben Sorenson, Seif El-Fatairy and Ryan Pyle adding singletons. 

Hamline faces off with another neighbor Saturday when they travel to St. Thomas. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
