Delaney Kohler had a swinging Sunday. The senior drilled out four hits -- two in each game as the Pipers split a pair of games in Tucson, Arizona Sunday. HU defeated Wis-Platteville, 5-1 and then dropped a 3-2 decision to Buena Vista. Hamline is now 6-4 on the 2019 season.
Kohler played second fiddle to
Kat Armstrong in the win over the Pioneers. Armstrong had three hits and drove in a run. Kohler had two with a RBI as did
Megan Rubbelke. On the mound,
Alex Molloy tossed a complete game four hitter for the win.
HU was scheduled to face Edgewood but a travel issue switched them to a game against BVU. Buena Vista broke up a scoreless tie with three fifth inning runs.
Anna O'Connor made things interesting with a two RBI triple in the seventh but that was as close as the Pipers could get. Kohler had two more hits
Hamline continues its western swing Monday with games against Centre and Wis-La Crosse,
