The Hamline lacrosse team opened defense of its MWLC title in impressive fashion, scoring 10 first half goals en route to a 15-1 win at Beloit Friday night.
Alycia Monserrate Novotny scored four goals and assisted on two others.
Lexus Tatge fired in three with two helpers. Her third goal was her 100th career tally, making her the second Piper to reach that plateau. The senior forward has 167 points, one behind all time career leader

Sydney Dynneson and
Brayden Maass each had a pair of goals against the Buccaneers as HU improved to 2-0 overall.
The Pipers were kept off the board for the first five minutes of the game.
Kalley Elwell's goal at 5:18 jumpstarted the offense. Four goals in the next six minutes made it 5-0 midway in the frame. HU never let up, upping the margin to 10-1 by halftime. Novotny did all her scoring in that session and has seven netters in the early going.
Molly Dionne recorded seven saves before giving way to
Alyssa Bryan-Jeffries for the last 17:01 of the game.
Hamline continues its three game road swing with a game Sunday, March 24 at Monmouth. HU travels to Loras on Monday. March 25.
