Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Dynneson Five Spot Leads W Lacrosse To Ninth Straight Win

Sydney Dynneson was a handful ... and then some ... Saturday for the HU lacrosse team. The junior had her second five goal game of the season and added a pair of assists as the Pipers improved to 9-0 and 6-0 in the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference with a 15-8 win at Illinois Tech.

The Minneapolis, Minn. native, who leads the team with 27 tallies, also had half a dozen draw controls for the Pipers. Lexus Tatge scored three times and added a pair of assists. Radian Lenz and Kalley Elwell added two goals apiece with Maddie Brown, Maya Hernandez and Alycia Monserrate Novotny chipping in with solos as part of a 33 shot attack.

Molly Dionne had two saves in goal in earning the win.

The Pipers broke fast in a free wheeling first half and led 9-4 after 30 minutes. Hamline has now outscored opponents by a 77-23 margin in the first half of games this season.

HU was leading by a slim 3-2 margin 13 minutes into the game. Dynneson scored two of the five goals HU compiled in the next nine minutes to push the lead to 8-2. IT hung tough, getting within 10-6 early in the second half. Hamline responded with three unanswered goals to help extend the fastest start from the gate in the four year history of the sport.

The Pipers stay in the land of Lincoln Sunday when they play at Concordia (IL). Game time is 1:00 p.m.
