The Piper volleyball team was up and at 'em early Saturday for a 10:00 a.m. matchup with Northland in the River Falls Invite. The early risers were in good form, hitting .296 as a team in a 3-0 sweep, winning by scores of 25-14, 25-9 and 25-19.
Madison Hurrle led the assault up front with 17 kills. The Pipers had 63 digs with Moirgen Coleman's 16 leading the way.
Maggie Gavic had 14 with
Gabby Robinson and
Karly Bihner adding 11 apiece. Gavic, a freshman, is sixth in the MIAC with 144 digs.
Megan Rubbelke kicked in 32 assists and is now fourth among MIAC setters at 9.97 assists per set.
Hamline improved to 7-3 overall. They start MIAC play Wednesday, September 18 at St. Mary's.
