No. 1 made her presence felt all over the volleyball court for Hamline last week.

Megan Rubbelke served, dug, set up teammates and found time to add some kills as well as the Pipers went 1-1. The MIAC duly took notice and named her the league's Setter/Libero of the Week.

The junior recorded her ninth double double of the season with a 43 assist, 18 dig effort and five kills for good measure in a 3-2 loss to Bethel, Sept. 25. Two nights later, she served four aces to supplement a 34 assist effort in a 3-0 home court win over Northland. The latter effort moved the North St. Paul, Minn. native into fifth place all-time in HU volleyball history with 1667 helpers.

Megan currently ranks fourth in the MIAC in Assists Per Set at 9.98 and fifth in totals with 529. Her 61 assists against Wis-Superior Sept. 13 is the second most by any D-IIIer this season.

Ruibbelke, the first HU volleyballer to be honored  with a weekly award in six years, and the Pipers have a pair of Hutton Arena conference contests this week. Hamline welcomes Concordia (4-11, 1-1 MIAC) on Wednesday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m. Gustavus Adolphus (8-8, 0-1 MIAC) is here Saturday, October 5 for a 3:00 p.m. showdown.
