ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Hamline men's hockey team (3-12-4, 1-6-3 MIAC) found themselves on the losing end of a 5-1 decision on Saturday afternoon, falling to Concordia (7-8-2, 4-3-1 MIAC) in the series finale at TRIA Rink.

Riley Meyer scored Hamline's lone goal in the game, scoring unassisted at 5:29 in the first period. This was Meyer's third goal of the season for HU.

Concordia's Jacen Bracko had a hat trick in the game, getting the game-winning goal as well as scoring twice more in the second period to help the Cobbers earn their fourth MIAC win of the year.

It was Concordia who scored first in the game, getting a goal only two minutes into the contest to take an early lead. Meyer tied it up three minutes later, but the Cobbers would score at 13:38 to take a 2-1 advantage into the break.

The second period belonged to Concordia, as they scored three times to build on their lead. Despite having four power plays in the third period, HU was not able to score, leaving the final at 5-1.

Concordia held a 33-20 shot edge in the game, while also winning 16 more faceoffs. First year
Andrew Erwin led Hamline in shots on the day with four.

Evan Robert took the loss in net, making 14 saves and giving up four goals in 25 minutes played. First year
Kevin Lake finished out the game in net, letting in one goal and making 14 saves in his 34 minutes played. Robert is now 1-5 on the season.

The Pipers are back at it next weekend, taking on Gustavus in St. Peter on Friday, January 31 at 7:00 p.m. before hosting the Gusties at TRIA on February 1.
