MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Hamline women's hockey team (13-3-1, 9-1 MIAC) earned their fourth MIAC sweep of the season today, defeating Concordia (5-12, 3-7 MIAC) 6-1 in Moorhead. This marked the Pipers' ninth straight win, while they have also won 11 of their past 12 games. With the six-point weekend, Hamline now has 18 points, which is currently first in the MIAC.

HU had five different players score in the game, with first year
Madison Davis leading the way with the first two goals of the contest. The Piper offense has now scored five or more goals in each of the past four games, helping them rank in the top eight in NCAA Division III for total goals scored.

Dani Wright also had multiple point games for the Pipers. Rausch scored and had two assists, Wright had two assists, and Hansen and Arkell added one of each.

It did not take Hamline long to get ahead as Davis scored at 6:32 in the first period, taking a pass from Rausch. Davis added her second a little less than ten minutes later, this time finishing a passing sequence from Wright and Rausch.

Rausch netted her goal 10 minutes into the second period, starting off what would be a three-goal period for the Pipers. Arkell was next to score and junior
Taylor Henthorne finished off the period with a goal at 18:12. Arkell, Wright, Hansen, and first years

In the third, Concordia would get their only goal of the series, scoring on a power play at 4:55 to make it 5-1. Hansen gave Hamline a power play goal of their own less than three minutes later, being assisted by sophomore
Molly Garin and senior
Bre Simon.

The Pipers fired 50 shots on the night, while only allowing the Cobbers to take 12 throughout the game.

The Pipers will have an important series next weekend, taking on #5 Gustavus, who is right behind them in the league standings. Hamline will play at home on Friday at 7:00 p.m. before traveling to St. Peter for a 2:00 p.m. game on Saturday.
