EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The Hamline men's tennis team headed to Wisconsin yesterday to take on both Prairie and UW-Eau Claire in non-conference matches. The Pipers fell 9-0 in each match.

MATCH 1: PRAIRIE 9, HAMLINE 0
In their first match of the day, senior
Blake Kuether and junior
Nazeer Robinson teamed up at No. 1 doubles, falling 8-3 to Marek Slojewski and Victor Dieltiens. First years
Sean Le and
Allan Yang played at No. 2 doubles, dropping the match 8-1.

In singles, sophomore
Tou Ger Xiong took two games off Slojewski in each set, falling 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot. Both Robinson (No. 2) and Kuether (No. 3) won games in their matches, but would each fall by scores of 6-3. 6-2.

Le played in the No. 4 singles spot, falling 6-0, 6-0. Yang, at No. 5 singles, took his opponent to a third tiebreaker set after winning the second set 6-4, but would ultimately drop the match 6-4, 4-6, 10-1.

The Pipers were forced to default at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.

MATCH 2: UW-EAU CLAIRE 9, HAMLINE 0
In their second match, Kuether and Robinson once again challenged their opponents at No. 1 doubles, but would fall 8-3. Le and Yang were shut out in the No. 2 spot, 8-0.

Xiong got one game off his opponent at No. 1 singles, falling 6-1, 6-0. Robinson, at No. 2, and Kuether, at No. 3, each were able to take a pair of games off the Blugolds, falling 6-2, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-2, respectively.

Le and Yang in the No. 4 and 5 spots, were defeated 6-0, 6-0. HU once again defaulted at the No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles spots.

Hamline will take on Minnesota Morris in another non-conference match on Sunday, March 1. The match is scheduled for a noon start at the Bloomington Life Time Fitness.
