MOORHEAD, Minn. – After trailing by two at halftime, the Hamline men's basketball team (5-15, 3-12 MIAC) outscored Concordia (2-18, 0-15 MIAC) 46-37 in the second half to win 75-68 on the road.
The Pipers shot 51.0% overall in the game, including connecting on 58.3% of their shots in the second half, while the Cobbers hit only 43.6% of their field goals. HU also capitalized on points from the free throw line, knocking down 22 of their 26 attempts (84.6%).
For the eighth time in the past nine games, sophomore
Luke Siwek led the Pipers in scoring, shooting over 50.0% for the fifth time in that span. Tonight he made eight of 15 (53.3%) from the field, two of three (66.6%) from deep, and eight of eight from the line for a game-high 26 points, two shy of his career-high.

Andrew Jackson had an efficient 12 points, hitting five of nine (55.6%) from the floor and junior
Michael Dillon added 10. Junior
Trey Prince made three of his four (75.0%) field goals on his way to eight points and senior

Marshall Holland each chipped in with six.
The Pipers would play catch-up for the majority of the first half, as Concordia did not allow them to take a lead in the first twenty minutes. The Cobbers jumped out to an early 8-2 lead after the first five minutes of play, but the Pipers would work to tie the game up at 12 with 12 minutes left in half. Later, Concordia built up an eight-point lead at 31-23 with only 2:30 to go in the half, but the Pipers would score the final six points to go into halftime only trailing by two, as the Cobbers led 31-29.
Siwek led the Pipers in the half with 16 points, hitting six of his nine shots.
It did not take long for Hamline to take over the lead in the second half, as they started the half on a 9-2 run. A pair of free throws from first year
Conner Krenos put HU up by 11 with 10 minutes to go. The Cobbers did now go quietly, though, getting the game within three with 1:20 left. The Pipers held strong, not giving up the lead, hitting eight free throws down the stretch to seal the road win.
Concordia's Bryden Urie led his team in scoring with 25 points on 11 of 18 shooting (61.1%).
Hamline will have a quick turn-around, as they take on #7 St. Thomas on the road on Wednesday, February 5 at 7:00 p.m.
