ST. PAUL, Minn. - It was their second comeback win in a row, as the Hamline men's hockey team (5-13-4, 3-7-3 MIAC) scored once in the second and once in the third to defeat Saint Mary's (8-11-1, 5-6 MIAC) 2-1 at TRIA Rink on Friday night.

Bailey Martin were the goal scorers for the Pipers in the game and first year
Kevin Lake notched a new career-high in saves with 35 on the night to earn his second straight win in net. He is now 2-1 on the season, allowing only one goal in each of his last two starts.
After a scoreless first period, it was the Cardinals who would score first, getting a goal at the very end of a powerplay at 14:42 in the second.
The Pipers answered less than two minutes later, as junior
Austin Wisely found a wide-open Meyer in front of the net who put it away to tie the game up at one apiece. This was Meyer's fourth goal of the season and Wisely's fourth assist.
In the third, Hamline took advantage of two Saint Mary's penalties, with Martin tipping in a goal on the powerplay at 6:40. He was set up by sophomore
Jeron Hirschfeld and first year
Jackson Bond on the play. Martin now has four goals on the year and 10 total points. Hirschfeld also tallied his 10
th point on the play and Bond stretched his team-leading point total to 23 with the assist.
This would be all the Pipers would need with Lake making 10 saves to close out the game, allowing HU to claim the 2-1 win.
