DULUTH, MINN.—The Hamline University women's volleyball team traveled to first-year MIAC member St. Scholastica on Friday Night. The Pipers are now 5-0 in five-set matches as they registered a 3-2 victory over the Saints. Megan Rubbelke highlighted the Pipers as she notched her career-record 3,093rd assist in the fourth set, passing Emily Peterson's (2000-03) previous record of 3092.
The Pipers improve to 16-5, 6-1 MIAC while St. Scholastica falls to 2-8, 2-4 MIAC.

The Pipers held a 2-1 match lead before history took course.
Megan Rubbelke registered her record-setting assist courtesy of Julianna Boyum's kill that gave Hamline a 10-5 lead in set four. It was a lead Hamline couldn't hang onto as they dropped a 25-23 decision that tied the match at 2-2.
The Pipers found themselves in a 4-1 deficit in set five before they called a timeout. It paid dividends as Hamline responded with a 7-1 run en route to an 8-5 lead. It was a lead Hamline didn't surrender in a 15-9 set win, and 3-2 match victory.
Megan Rubbelke tallied 44 assists and five service aces for the Pipers, who hit .141 in the match against CSS's .140 figure. Jenna Rubbelke was also lethal at the service line with four aces along with 24 digs. Sydney Larson paced the Hamline offense with 16 kills, and finished second on the team with 20 digs. Brynn Hendrickson was dominate at the net with five blocks for the Pipers.
Megan Rubbelke exits the contest with 3,103 career assists.
The Pipers return to action on Friday, October 22 at Carleton. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
