Cobbers Run Past Pipers on Senior Day

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University football team kicked-off a two-game home stand to close the season with a Saturday-afternoon affair against Concordia Moorhead at Klas Field. The Pipers struck first courtesy of Charlie Wilson's 10-yard touchdown grab with 8:05 left in the first quarter, before the Cobbers registered 41 unanswered points en route to a 41-7 victory.

Hamline falls to 3-6, 1-6 MIAC while Concordia Moorhead improves to 4-5, 3-4 MIAC.

Charlie Wilson capped the Pipers' 13-play opening drive with a 10-yard touchdown catch from Connor Leavens with 8:05 left in the first quarter that made the score 7-0. Hamline would punt on six of their final nine drives of the contest, which paved the way for Concordia's 41 unanswered points en route to a 41-7 victory.

Pipers quarterback Connor Leavens went 15-of-31 passing for 102 yards and one touchdown. Wilson led the Hamline receivers with four catches for 49 yards and one touchdown. Adrian Cracolici paced the Hamline defense with seven tackles.

Adrian Cracolici, Will Conzet, Connor Leavens, Matt Miller, Landyn Swearingen, and Matt Peters were honored prior to the contest as part of the Senior Day festivities.

The Pipers will host St. Scholastica in their 2021 season finale on Saturday, November 13 at 1:00 p.m.
