ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The Hamline University men's basketball team kicked-off their post Thanksgiving schedule with a short trek to Bethel on Wednesday night. The Royals held Pipers freshman phenom Tait Nelson to just one made field goal in the second half, which helped them secure a 63-52 victory.
The Pipers fall to 2-4, 1-2 MIAC, while Bethel improves to 3-3, 1-2 MIAC.

Nelson, who registered a game-high four steals, was held to nine points on 3-of-11 shooting along with three assists. Chasen Livingston led the way with 11 points along with five rebounds, while Cooper Berg narrowly missed a double-double for the third-straight game with seven points and eight boards for Hamline, who shot 20-of-62 (.323) from the field against Bethel's 21-of-52 (.404) mark.
Tommy Jensen led Bethel with 15 points, while Zach Doely tallied a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards.
The Pipers will host St. John's on Wednesday, December 8 at 7:00 p.m.
