SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's basketball team hosted Concordia (Minn.) in a Saturday-afternoon affair at Hutton Arena. Conner Krenos tallied a game-high 24 points off a 6-of-11 mark from three-point land to propel the Pipers to a 66-61 victory over the Cobbers.
The Pipers improve to 3-5, 2-3 MIAC, while Concordia (Minn.) falls to 2-6, 1-4 MIAC.

The Pipers grabbed their first lead of the game at the 16:06 mark of the first half off Tait Nelson's jumper that made things 10-8. They would surrender the driver's seat only once more when Concordia took a brief advantage at 33-32 with 18:08 left in the second frame.
Both teams were identical from the field as Hamline was 24-of-56 (.429) while Concordia went 21-of-49 (.429). The difference was Conner Krenos, who engineered a Pipers unit that converted 12-of-33 three-pointers against the Cobbers' 6-of-26 mark as a team.
Cooper Berg paced Hamline at the glass with seven boards, along with 12 points, while Tait Nelson tallied a team-best four assists along with 10 points.
The Cobbers were led by Jackson Jangula's 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting, and 4-of-6 mark from beyond the arch along with three steals.
The Pipers will travel to St. Olaf on Wednesday, December 15 for a 7 p.m. game.
