Pipers Blanked By Cobbers in 2022 Season Finale

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's soccer team's 2022 season finale pitted them against Concordia (Minn.) at Pat Paterson Field on Saturday. The Pipers came up empty in a 3-0 loss to the Cobbers.

Lauren Sicora, Lana Mitchell, Lauren Osborn, Carin Currier, Anna Browne, Tylar Sayles, and Cailey Schmitt were honored prior to the game as part of the senior day festivities.

Hamline ends their season with a 4-9-4, 2-8-1 MIAC record, while Concordia (Minn.) concludes their campaign with a 5-10-2, 2-7-2 MIAC mark.

Despite the score, It was an up-and-down contest as Concordia held a slim 18-16 edge in shots. The middle stages of the game resulted in a trio of goals for the Cobbers thanks to Kylie Osborn in the 34th minute, Sophia Robinson in the 35th, and Samantha Holmberg in the 53rd.

Maya Dempsey, Anna Browne, and Adela Ashby each notched three shots for the Pipers.

Lauren Sicora made seven saves in her final collegiate game in net for Hamline, while Breanna Nelson and Kaitlin Petrich combined for six saves between the pipes for Concordia.
