Pipers goalie Maximillian Haselbacher carried the team on his shoulders with a 35-save performance. His lone blunder occurred at 12:55 of the second period, when Nicholas Hess gave the Cobbers a 1-0 lead off a feed from Max Johnson and Barry Bauer.

The 14:56 mark of the third period saw Kohl Hedquist center a pass from the right side that bounced off a Cobber stick to the back of the net, which made things 1-1. Mathias Branton and Sebastien Vaillancourt were credited assists on the play.

Concordia outshot Hamline 36-21. Cobbers goaltender Jackson Nelson came though with 20 saves in the tie.

The Pipers will resume MIAC play at Concordia (Minn.) on Friday, December 2 at 7 p.m.
