MOORHEAD, MINN.—The Hamline University men's hockey team embarked on the front end of a two-game road swing at Concordia (Minn.) on Friday night, where they dropped a 6-3 decision.

Concordia (Minn.) 6, Hamline 3
Isaac Henkemeyer-Howe single-handedly gave Concordia a 3-0 lead with a hat trick that culminated at the 7:05 mark of the second period. It was the ignition Hamline needed as Jackson Wille put Hamline on the board off a feed from Sam Dabrowski at 8:43 of the second, which made things 3-1. The Cobbers responded with a 12-2 advantage in shots to close the frame, which resulted in a 5-1 cushion behind goals from Jack Westlund at 12:57, and Troy Dahlheimer at 14:45.
Good things would come in "three's," as the third period saw three power-play goals. Two of them came from Hamline courtesy of Ryan Murray at 11:25, and Bailey Sommers at 17:09 that narrowed the margin to 5-3. The Pipers couldn't close the door further as Caden Triggs iced the game with a power-play goal for the Cobbers at 19:25 that made things 6-3.
Concordia (Minn.) outshot Hamline 39-21. Kevin Lake made 33 saves in net for the Pipers, while Jackson Nelson came through with 18 stops for the Cobbers.
A whopping 13 penalties were called in the contest, seven were called on Hamline.
