The Pipers came into Saturday leading the MIAC in scoring defense at 46 ppg, and it showed up early against the Oles in the first half completely smothering St. Olaf holding them to 18 points. The Pipers managed to overcome their own issues shooting the ball early by holding the Oles to just seven made shots (28% fg) and getting a late 8-0 run to close the half and give Hamline a 27-18 lead at the break. The Pipers then picked up from there early in the third quarter turning that 8-0 run into a 16-0 run to lead 35-18 early in the third and 42-28 lead going into the games final period. Hamline's three point shooting was the catalyst of their offense with 13 of their 19 total field goals coming from beyond the arc. The Ole's wouldn't go away easy though as they were able to cut into the lead in the fourth quarter getting the game to a single-digit margin multiple times but the Pipers were able to respond every time to come away with the 12 point win.

Lydia Lecher continued her sensational start to the season leading the Pipers with 14 points making three shots from three point range as well as a team-high nine rebounds. Larisa O'Neil also knocked down three 3's for her nine points while a pair of three-pointers helped Michaela Stamer also register nine points.

The Oles were led by 11 points from Sophie Olmen, While Paige Yagodinski added 10, and Rachel Kelley notched nine points with her game-high 12 boards.

The Pipers are back in action Wednesday, December 7 when they host Carleton at 7 p.m. and continue their defense of their perfect record.
