SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's basketball team hosted Gustavus Adolphus in a game with second place on the line at Hutton Arena on Monday evening. The Pipers dropped a 62-47 decision to the Gusties.
Hamline falls to 17-6, 15-5 MIAC, while Gustavus Adolphus improves to 18-4, 16-3 MIAC. The Pipers currently sit in fourth place with one game remaining in the regular season, while Gustavus is in second place.

The Pipers led just once in the contest, when Chan'el Anderson-Manning's jump shot at 7:21 of the third quarter gave her team a brief 28-27 edge before Gustavus quickly hung onto the driver's seat.
Hamline was held to a season-low .286 (14-of-49) field goal percentage, and a .214 (3-of-14) three-point field goal mark. Lydia Lecher nailed all three of those triples en route to a team-leading 15 points, while Tess Hauer followed with 14. Anna Sanders led Gustavus with 16 points.
The Pipers will make the short trip to Macalester for the regular season finale on Wednesday, February 16 at 7 p.m.
