ROGERS, MINN.—The Hamline University women's tennis team opened MIAC play against first-year conference member St. Scholastica at the Rogers Tennis Club on Saturday afternoon. The Pipers dropped an 8-1 decision to the Saints.
Hamline falls to 0-4, 0-1 MIAC, while St. Scholastica improves to 3-0, 1-0 MIAC.

The Saints took the clean 3-0 sweep in doubles, which included a default win at the No. 3 position. The singles flight saw Jenna Rubbelke pick up her first collegiate win at No. 4 with a 6-2, 6-4 decision, but the Saints took care of business in the other five spots to secure an 8-1 win.
Hamline will travel to St. Olaf on Friday, February 25 for a 6:30 p.m. match.
